Thermal imaging solutions for Inspire series - what actually works?

Been researching thermal integration for my Inspire 2 and getting conflicting information everywhere. DJI officially states that Zenmuse XT thermal cameras are NOT compatible with the I2, but I see people talking about third-party solutions.

DJI designed the Inspire 2 with filmmakers in mind and stated that the Inspire 2 will never be compatible with any of the Zenmuse XT FLIR Thermal Cameras. Users can custom rig a thermal setup but there's no integration into the aircraft's native video transmission.

Has anyone successfully integrated a FLIR solution that actually transmits back to the controller? What are the limitations?
