so ive been flying my mini 3 for about 6 months now and i think i finally got a shot im actually proud of. went out to the reservoir near my place around 6:30pm last tuesday and just kinda hovered and let the colors do the work. the golden hour stuff people always talk about is real, i get it now.

the clip is about 40 seconds, slow push forward over the water with the sun just hitting the treeline. nothing crazy but it felt right. ill post the link once i figure out how to compress it without it looking like garbage. anyone else shooting at that time of day getting good results or is it just luck every time

sunset shots are honestly 80% just showing up at the right time. i've had days where everything was perfect and the footage looked flat, and days where i almost didn't go out and came back with the best stuff ive ever shot. the reservoir sounds like a solid spot though, water really picks up that warm light in a way that makes even simple movements look intentional.

for compression try handbrake if you havent already, just match your original bitrate and it usually holds up fine for sharing. excited to see it when you get it up
