Planning to fly in Europe - Remote ID nightmare?

Planning a Europe trip in June and want to bring my DJI Mini 4 Pro. I keep reading about Remote ID being mandatory there now, but I'm so confused about the requirements. Do I need a special module or certification? Has anyone recently flown in Germany, France, or Italy with a US-bought drone?

The regulations seem to change every few months and I don't want to get fined or have my drone confiscated at customs.
