Agras T25 nozzle clogging constantly, anyone else dealing with this

  • Members

been having a frustrating time with the T25 the last few weeks. running it on fungicide applications mostly, mixing rates are right per the label, water quality should be fine were using a clean tank and filtered fill water. but im getting at least one nozzle clog per battery which is killing my efficiency and i end up with uneven coverage i dont even notice until i check the spray data log after the fact.

ive pulled the nozzles and cleaned them, replaced two that looked worn, made sure the inline filters are clear. still happening. its worse on hot days which makes me wonder if theres some kind of settling or concentration thing going on in the tank but i cant figure out what im doing differently

running the flat fan XR nozzles that came stock, not sure if switching tip type would help or if this is a mixing issue i cant diagnose. support has been kinda useless so far

hot days plus fungicide is almost definitely a mixing order problem or a compatibility issue with whatever adjuvant youre running. some of those sticker spreaders get real viscous in heat and if theyre going in before you have enough water in the tank they can partially polymerize and you get this gummy residue that looks clear so you dont notice it but it just slowly chokes the tips. try adding your water first, like 80% of it, then your fungicide, then top off, no adjuvant until last. see if that changes anything.

also what fungicide are we talking cause some of the ECs are harder on nozzle tips than others and the stock XR nozzles on the T25 are fine but theyre not exactly premium

yeah ive seen this, not on a T25 specifically but similar issue on an older Agras setup. turned out one of our inline screens had a tiny crack that was letting debris through even though it looked okay at a glance. worth pulling every screen in the system not just the obvious ones.

also kind of unrelated but are you recirculating the tank at all between battery swaps? if the drone is sitting for 10-15 minutes in the heat with no agitation some products will start to separate and then you get a slug of concentrated material hitting the tips when you start the next run.
