ok so this has been bugging me for a while and i cant figure out if its a me problem or a drone problem. basically whenever i fly behind my house which is like maybe 150 feet away it starts dropping signal and the video feed gets all choppy. if i fly out in an open field it's totally fine even at like half a mile or whatever. im on the stock controller, haven't modded anything.

my house is a two story and i fly from the backyard so maybe thats it? or is there interference from something? i live in a pretty normal suburb nothing crazy nearby. the drone itself seems fine otherwise, no crashes, everything checks out in the app. just the signal weirdness when it's close but behind the house specifically.

almost certainly your house is blocking line of sight to the controller. OcuSync and most modern DJI transmission systems are still radio signals and physical objects like walls, roofs, and especially anything with metal in it will attenuate the signal pretty hard. 150 feet through a two story house is actually a pretty significant obstacle even though it doesn't seem like it should be. try walking to a different position in your yard so you have a clearer angle to the drone and see if it helps, my guess is it will improve immediately. it's one of those things that feels weird because the drone is so close but proximity doesn't matter as much as line of sight does.

yep what the other guy said, LOS is everything with these. i had a similar thing happen when i was flying around a building downtown, went around the corner maybe 200ft away and the feed just tanked. came back around and it was perfect again. also worth checking if there are any 2.4ghz devices near where you're standing since the controller competes with wifi routers and stuff on that band, though honestly the house blocking signal is almost definitely the main issue here
