this has been bugging me for a while and im at the point where im just going to post about it because ive run out of ideas. the drone drifts noticeably to the left when im in manual mode, not a huge amount but enough that i have to constantly correct and its throwing off my shots. normal mode and sport mode seem fine which makes me think its not a hardware issue with the motors or props.

ive done the IMU calibration twice now through the app and the compass calibration as well. props are balanced and ive checked them visually, nothing looks bent. the goggles are on firmware 01.00.0600 and the aircraft is on the latest too. flying in an open field so no interference issues i can think of.

is there something specific about manual mode that would cause this that the other modes compensate for? feels like maybe its a trim issue but i cant find a trim setting anywhere in the DJI fly app for this thing. am i missing something obvious here

manual mode on the DJI FPV basically turns off a lot of the stabilization that the other modes rely on, so any physical imbalance or motor inconsistency that gets masked in normal/sport mode will show up there. worth pulling the props off and doing a motor test in the app one by one and just listen carefully, any one that sounds slightly different or has more resistance when you spin it by hand could be the culprit even if it looks fine.

also check if you have any payload attached or if the balance of the drone itself is slightly off center. even a little weight shift matters more in manual. theres no trim adjustment in the DJI FPV the way you'd have on a traditional RC setup which is kind of annoying honestly.

had something similar once and it turned out one of my props wasnt fully seated, like it looked fine but wasnt clicked all the way down. the asymmetric thrust was just barely enough to cause a drift that only really showed in manual. probably not your issue but worth double checking before going deeper on the diagnostics
