EVO Nano+ keeps losing connection randomly, anyone dealt with this

  • Members

been having this annoying issue where the controller just drops signal for like 2-3 seconds and then reconnects. happens pretty randomly, sometimes at 50 meters sometimes further out. im in a pretty suburban area so there's interference around but this seems worse than it should be.

updated the firmware last week thought that might fix it but still happening. dont know if its the controller or the drone itself or the app. kind of at a loss here

have you tried switching the transmission frequency? by default i think it might be on auto but if you manually set it to 5.8ghz in a congested area it can actually make things worse sometimes, and 2.4 might give you more stable range even if theoretically slower. worth poking around in the settings if you havent already. also make sure your phone isnt running a bunch of background apps while flying, ive seen that cause weird disconnection behavior with the Skylink app specifically.

honestly had somthing similar with mine for a while and it turned out the USB cable connecting my phone to the controller was just a bit loose. like not fully seated. felt fine but wasnt making great contact. swapped it for a different cable and the random drops basically stopped. probably not your issue but easy thing to check before going down a rabbit hole with settings
