DJI Neo 2 vs Potensic Atom 2 - which is better for absolute beginners?

I'm torn between these two drones for my first purchase. The DJI Neo 2 is $249 and seems super beginner-friendly with the palm launch feature, but the Potensic Atom 2 is $399 and has better camera specs.

  • DJI Neo 2: actively detects and avoids obstacles in all directions using sensors, making indoor flying and navigating around obstacles far less nerve-wracking for new pilots
  • Potensic Atom 2: new compact design for 2026, as well as a new remote with a built-in screen

Which would you choose for someone who's never flown before? Is the extra $150 worth it for the Potensic?
