ok so we had our monthly group flight and i dont even know where to start. like 12 people showed up which is way more than usual and nobody really coordinated who was flying when so we had 4 or 5 quads up at the same time at one point and it got pretty chaotic. nobody crashed but it felt like we got lucky. think we need some kind of actual system for this but im not sure how other groups handle it, does anyone do like a rotation or designated flight windows or something

yeah we had the same problem, our solution was basically just designating one person as a informal flight director for the day who just keeps track of whos up and gives the thumbs up when its clear. doesnt have to be complicated, just someone paying attention

honestly 12 people is a lot for an unorganized fly. we cap ours at like 6-8 in the air at a time and even then you gotta be calling out your flight paths. also frequency checks if anyone is still on older 2.4ghz gear but thats probably less of an issue now
