this has been bugging me for a while and i finally decided to just post about it. flying my Avata in manual mode (full manual, acro basically) and theres this consistent drift to the left when im trying to hold a hover or do slow cinematic stuff. its not huge but its noticeable enough that im constantly correcting and it shows up in the footage.

already tried IMU calibration and compass cal, didnt really change anything. the motors all look fine visually, props are balanced as far as i can tell. running the RC Motion 2 but i also tried with the standard RC controller and same issue so its not the controller. firmware is current.

honestly not sure if im just being too sensitive about it or if there's actually something off. my buddy flew it and said he didnt really notice but hes on the FPV drone mostly and not used to how the Avata handles. anyone dealt with this kind of thing?

check your motor screws, one of them might be slightly loose and causing an imbalance under load. happened to me and i was chasing it for weeks thinking it was a software thing. also worth doing a motor test in the DJI app to see if all four are spinning at the same RPM under identical throttle. if one is even slightly off itll cause that kind of consistent drift in acro since theres no GPS or positioning assist to compensate.

also what props are you on? if youre running aftermarket props that arent perfectly matched weight wise that can do it too.

imu calibration on the Avata is kind of finnicky in my experience, you have to make sure its on a completely level surface and not near anything magnetic. i did mine on a metal workbench once and it was basically useless lol. try doing it outside on concrete or something boring and flat. probably not your whole problem but worth eliminating
