so ive been flying freestyle for about 8 months now and i feel like im decent enough at the stick movements but my quad just feels... mushy? like it responds but not snappy at all. running a 5inch with f7 stack, 2306 motors, betaflight 4.4. i copied a tune from youtube for the same frame and it flew okay but still not that locked-in snappy feeling i see in the fpv freestyle videos. rates feel fine i think, running about 700 on roll. not sure if its the tune or just my flying tbh

700 roll rate is pretty tame for most freestyle stuff honestly, a lot of people run higher. but also the mushy feeling could just be your master multiplier being too low or your d term fighting you. what does your filtering look like, are you running stock? stock filtering in 4.4 adds a lot of latency and that alone can make it feel like youre flying through mud. try dropping the lowpass filters a bit and see if that helps before touching pid's

same thing happened to me lol i spent like two weeks thinking i had a bad tune and it turned out my props were slightly bent. one of them had a tiny nick i didnt notice. swapped to new props and suddenly it felt completely different. probably not your issue but worth checking
