DJI mini 4 pro firmware.0700 bricked my obstacle avoidance settings??

  • Members

ok so this has been bugging me for a few days and im not sure if its a me problem or a known issue. updated to the latest firmware last week, the.0700 one, and ever since then my APAS settings keep resetting every time i power cycle the drone. i set it to APAS 5.0 advanced, fly, land, shut everything down, next time i power up its back to bypass mode

ive tried re-pairing the RC2, cleared the cache on the fly app, even did a full refresh of the firmware through DJI assistant 2 on my laptop. still doing it. hasnt caused any actual incidents yet but i came pretty close to a tree yesterday because i just assumed the settings stuck and they didnt

anyone else seeing this or am i just doing something wrong with the settings save process? genuinely cant tell if this is a firmware bug or something with my specific unit

yeah there's a thread about this on the DJI forums too, youre not alone. seems like a handful of people hit this after.0700 and DJI acknowledged it but no fix yet as of a few days ago. someone suggested doing a full factory reset through assistant 2 rather than just a firmware refresh and that apparently fixed it for a few people but not everyone. worth trying if you havent already

the tree thing is genuinely scary though, i always do a quick settings check on the first screen before takeoff now just out of habit, takes like 10 seconds and has saved me a couple times when something was off

this is why i wait like 2-3 weeks before updating firmware on anything. let other people find the bugs first. not criticizing you just, yeah, DJI pushes updates pretty aggressively and they dont always bake long enough imo
