EVO Nano+ worth it over the Mini 3 Pro? kinda torn tbh

so ive been going back and forth on this for like three weeks now and i cant decide. i have about $800 to spend and i keep landing on either the Autel EVO Nano+ or the DJI Mini 3 Pro. most of my flying is just landscape stuff out in the hills near where i live, nothing crazy, no commercial work or anything like that.

the thing that keeps pulling me toward the Autel is that it doesnt have geofencing the same way DJI does and im in a spot where id sometimes want to fly a bit closer to some restricted zones than DJI would normally let me without jumping through hoops. also the 50mp sensor on the Nano+ sounds really appealing on paper. but then everyone i talk to in real life just uses DJI and i wonder if the ecosystem and app support stuff is just gonna be way better and im gonna regret going Autel.

anyone actually daily drive a Nano+ and can tell me if its as good as it sounds or if theres stuff that annoyed you after a few months?

had the Nano+ for about 8 months before i moved up to the EVO Lite+ and honestly it was a really solid little drone. the image quality is genuinely impressive for the size, the 50mp thing isnt just marketing fluff you do get a lot of detail to work with. wind resistance was a bit sketchy above like 20mph but for landscape stuff in normal conditions you'll be fine.

the Autel Sky app has improved a lot, it used to be kind of clunky but its gotten better. the thing i missed most coming from a DJI background was the sheer amount of tutorials and third party apps. like if something went wrong with the DJI i could find five youtube videos explaining it in ten minutes, with Autel you sometimes gotta dig a little more. but honestly the no geofencing thing is real and if thats important to your flying situation that alone might make the decision for you.

mini 3 pro has better obstacle avoidance and the return to home is just more reliable in my experience. thats kind of it. if those things matter to you go DJI. if they dont, the Nano+ is genuinely competitive on image quality.
