so this has been driving me insane for like two weeks now. im flying in manual mode (well, sport mode actually, not full manual) and randomly the thing just drops back to normal mode on its own. doesnt happen every flight but maybe once every three or four flights and usually when im doing a faster banked turn. checked the controller binding, everything looks fine. firmware is up to date as of last week.

its not like i accidentally hit the mode switch, ive triple checked that. the goggles show the mode change happening but theres nothing in the flight logs that really explains why. anyone else had this or know what causes it? its not dangerous exactly but it scared me pretty good the first time it happened over a parking lot

had something similar on my unit about six months ago. turned out the mode switch on my controller had a tiny bit of debris under it causing intermittent contact. worth taking a close look at the physical switch itself, maybe some compressed air. also check if you have return to home set to a certain signal threshold because sometimes a brief signal hiccup can trigger a mode override depending on your settings

wait is this the v1 goggles or v2? because i read somewhere the v1 had some handshake issues with newer firmwares but i honestly cant remember where i saw that. might be worth checking the dji forums too, there was a thread about mode switching weirdness a while back
