what cases are people actually using for mini 3 pro travel

  • Members

so ive been using just the little bag that came with it but im starting to travel more and honestly im kinda paranoid about it getting knocked around in my carry on. ive seen a bunch of different hard cases on amazon but they all look kind of the same and the reviews are all over the place, some people say the foam cutouts dont fit right and you have to mod them yourself which sounds annoying.

does anyone have something they actually like and have traveled with a few times? im not super worried about price just want something that actually protects the thing and maybe fits the fly more combo with extra batteries. appreciate any suggestions

I went through like three different cases before landing on the Carrying case from Lekufee, its not a super well known brand but the foam fit my mini 3 pro with the RC controller perfectly without having to carve anything out myself. Fits two extra batteries and my ND filter set in little slots too. Ive taken it on maybe six or seven flights worth of travel at this point and nothing has shifted around or gotten scratched up.

The one thing i'd say is measure your filter case before buying because some of the bigger third party filter sets dont fit in the dedicated spots and you end up just jamming them in a corner which defeats the purpose. But overall yeah its held up way better than the dji bag which i still use just for like quick local sessions.

i just use a pelican 1510 with custom cut foam and honestly its overkill but i sleep better on flights lol. you can get the foam cheap and theres templates online for the mini 3 so you dont have to guess. the case itself is carry on approved which was the main thing for me
