Just picked up the Air 3S a few weeks ago, coming from a Mini 2 so this is a big jump for me. The camera is incredible but im realizing i should probably be using ND filters properly instead of just letting auto exposure do everything. Back with the Mini 2 i had a cheap set that worked well enough but i feel like with this camera i should maybe invest in something better.

Ive been looking at PolarPro, Freewell, the DJI ones, and honestly theres so many options at so many price points i dont even know where to start. The 3S has a different sensor size than the Air 3 right so i want to make sure im not buying the wrong thing. Anyone gone through this and have an opinion they actually stand behind? Not looking for the perfect theoretical answer just what you actually use day to day.

Freewell is what i use and honestly for the money they're hard to beat. I have the all-day kit with the variable NDs and the fixed ones and i mostly reach for the fixed ND16 and ND64 depending on conditions. The variable ones are convenient but you do get a tiny bit of color shift at extreme ends ? not enough to ruin anything but noticeable if youre being picky in post.

PolarPro are genuinely better glass but the price difference is hard to justify unless youre doing paid work where every detail matters. For hobby flying Freewell is solid. Just double check the listing says Air 3S specifically because you're right the mount situation changed a bit.

i went with the DJI official ones first just because i was new and didnt want to deal with returns if something didnt fit. theyre fine but pricy. once i got comfortable with actually using NDs i bought a Freewell set too and thats mostly what i grab now. the DJI branded ones feel more premium but i cant honestly say the footage looks any different to me.
