so ive been going back and forth between the Nano+ and the Mini 3 for like three months and i just decided to stop overthinking it and go with the Autel. main reason honestly was the obstacle avoidance since the Mini 3 base model doesnt have it and i kept hearing stories about people losing drones in wooded areas which is exactly where i fly most of the time.
first impressions are pretty good. the SkyLink app took a little getting used to after using Litchi on my old Mavic but its not bad. image quality out of the camera is genuinely impressive for something this small, colors feel a bit warmer than i expected which i like. battery life is roughly what they advertise which is more than i can say for some other drones ive owned.
one thing thats slightly annoying is the controller feels a little plasticky compared to what i was used to but its functional and the range has been solid. havent pushed it past maybe 4km but no dropouts at all. also the no fly zone thing in the app is way less aggressive than DJI which depending on who you ask is either great or terrible lol.
anyway just wanted to share in case anyone else is on the fence. happy to answer questions about it if i can.
