so i binned my quad pretty hard last week into a concrete wall at the local spot, broke two arms and one of the motors was clearly toast ? shaft bent, coils fried, whole thing smelled like burnt plastic. anyway i ordered replacement motors, same brand same kv rating, 2306 2450kv just like the originals, swapped everything out and now the thing flies but it just... doesnt feel right? hard to explain. it's like one corner is slightly lazier than the others during quick direction changes. i ran motor tests in betaflight and all four spin up and look fine on the sliders, temps seem okay after a hover. checked the props, balanced them, retightened everything. im stumped. could it be a bad motor out of the box or am i chasing a ghost here

had almost the exact same thing after a crash last spring. ended up being the ESC on that arm ? the motor looked fine in bench tests but under real load the ESC was partially cooked and couldn't keep up with rapid throttle changes. swapped the ESC and it was back to normal instantly. worth checking if your ESCs are individual or if you're on an AIO board because if it's AIO you've got more of a headache ahead of you.

could also just be a slightly different winding on the replacement motor even if specs match on paper. tolerances vary between batches and sometimes between manufacturers if you didnt get the exact OEM part. i'd try swapping the replacement motor to a different position and see if the "lazy corner" moves with it, that'd at least tell you if its the motor itself or something else on that arm
