so ive been flying my Mini 2 for about a year and a half now and honestly love it but i keep seeing the EVO Nano+ come up whenever i search for alternatives and im curious if anyone has actually made that switch or flown both. the image quality on the Mini 2 is solid but i feel like im hitting its ceiling a bit especially in tricky lighting situations at dusk and stuff like that.

main things im wondering about are how the obstacle avoidance compares because the Mini 2 basically has none and i've had a few close calls in tighter spots. also the color science thing ? i keep seeing people say autel has better colors out of camera but idk if thats just brand loyalty talking or if theres something real there. not trying to start a war or anything just genuinely curious what people think who have used both

made almost exactly this switch about 8 months ago and honestly its a mixed bag. the colors out of the nano+ are genuinely nicer to my eye, theres something warmer about the default profile that i dont have to correct as much in post. low light is also noticeably better which was the main reason i jumped. BUT the obstacle avoidance is still pretty limited ? its there but i wouldnt trust it to save you in a really dense situation, its more like a warning system than actual protection if that makes sense.

the app situation is the one thing that caught me off guard. its fine but its not as polished as DJI fly and took me a couple weeks to feel comfortable with it. not a dealbreaker just worth knowing going in.
