this has been driving me insane for the last few weeks. mid flight the video feed just cuts for like half a second maybe a full second then comes back. no warning, no pattern i can figure out, happens in open fields same as near buildings so its not obvious interference. the drone doesnt RTH or anything it just drops the feed and snaps back like nothing happened.

ive checked the obvious stuff, antennas look fine on the goggles, tried a different frequency band, updated everything to latest firmware. signal strength on screen looks normal right up until it drops. its not a huge deal safety wise since it recovers but its annoying and a little nervewracking when youre doing a fast low pass and suddenly youre blind for a second.

not sure if this is a goggles issue or something on the drone side. anyone dealt with this

had something similar and it turned out to be my goggles USB-C port being slightly loose so the power connection was intermittently doing something weird. not saying thats your issue but worth wiggling the cable while its on and seeing if that triggers it on the ground. also check if the goggles are getting hot, i had thermal throttling cause some weird video glitches once.

could be multipath interference even in open areas depending on whats around, ive seen a single metal shed like 200m away cause weird signal behavior. but honestly my first suspicion would be the antenna connectors on the aircraft itself, those UFL connectors can work loose especially if you've had any rough landings. the symptoms youre describing sound more like a transmission hiccup than a full signal drop so somethign on the RF chain is probably margionally loose or damaged. pop the top shell if you're comfortable and just reseat both antenna connectors and see if it changes anything.
