so this has been driving me absolutely crazy for the past two weeks. my mini 3 pro was flying totally fine, never had a single issue, and now it just drops connection randomly during flight. not even far out, like sometimes it happens at 200 feet. i havent changed anything about my setup, same phone, same location i always fly, same everything. the signal bars drop to like 1 and then RC loss and it returns to home. annoying as hell especially since ive been trying to get some shots for a client.

ive tried re-pairing the remote, checked for firmware updates (its current), even swapped to a different phone. still happens. the weird thing is sometimes it flies for 20 minutes no problem and other times it disconnects after 2 minutes. completely inconsistent. anyone dealt with this kind of thing? starting to wonder if the controller itself is going bad or if there's something environmental im not seeing.

had almost the exact same thing happen with my air 2s a while back. turned out there was a new cell tower that went up about half a mile from my usual spot. 5g interference was just obliterating the 2.4ghz connection. i didnt even think to look for that because id been flying there for like a year with zero problems. switched the RC to force it onto 5.8ghz and it got way better, not perfect but way better. worth checking if anything changed in your area, new tower, new wifi router nearby, construction equipment with radio gear, all that stuff can creep up on you.

also check if your phone's wifi is on. i know it sounds dumb but having wifi scanning active on the phone can cause interference with the RC link on some setups, especially when it keeps hopping channels looking for networks.

is your ocusync antenna on the controller bent weird or anything? i dropped mine once and the connection got flaky like what youre describing, internaly the antenna connection had come a little loose i think. sent it in and they fixed it. just a thought if none of the software stuff pans out
