Hey everyone! Complete beginner here and just booked my first aerial photo flight next week. I've been reading about camera settings but getting overwhelmed with all the technical stuff. What basic camera settings should I focus on for my first helicopter shoot? I have a Canon R5 and mainly want to capture some landscape shots. Any simple tips for someone who's never shot from the air before?

Start with ISO 200, aperture f/2.8 and shoot on aperture priority mode - this makes it easier during flight. Shutter speed is the most important setting for aerial photography so focus on keeping it fast enough to avoid blur. Don't stress too much about getting everything perfect on your first flight!

I was in the exact same boat last year! Use 1/500s or faster shutter speed - this is crucial for sharp photos when you're moving. Also bring extra batteries and memory cards. The time goes by so fast up there and you'll want to shoot way more than you think.
