so ive been flying for about two years now and honestly never gone to a single organized event, always just fly solo at the park or whatever. saw someone post about a fly-in happening down in ohio and it got me thinking i should actually go to one of these things. do people actually bring their whole setup or just like one bird? and is it weird showing up alone not knowing anyone

dude go, seriously. i showed up to my first one not knowing a single person and ended up talking to this guy for like two hours about long range builds. most people there are just happy to talk about their stuff. i brought two quads and my long range wing and honestly wish i packed lighter lol. check rcgroups or the local facebook groups, theres usually a few posted each season

there was one last august out near dayton i think, cant remember who organized it. showed up with my mini 3 feeling a little out of place next to all the 5inch builds but nobody cared. its pretty chill usually
