keeps drifting when i let go of the sticks??

so this has been bugging me for a while now and i cant figure out if im doing something wrong or if the drone is broken. when i hover and take my hands off the sticks it doesnt just stay in one spot, it kind of slowly drifts in one direction. not a lot but enough to be annoying. i calibrated the compass i think, i watched a video about it. its a fairly cheap drone, not a dji, got it from amazon for around 80 bucks. is this just a cheap drone thing or is there something i should adjust. wind wasnt that bad when i was flying it either

yeah that price range usually doesnt have proper gps stabilization, or if it does its pretty weak. what youre seeing is probably just optical flow or barometer drift which cheaper ones are really bad at. theres not a whole lot you can do about it honestly, some have a trim adjustment on the controller (little buttons near the sticks) that can help with minor drift but its kind of a bandaid. its one of those things where the hardware just isnt there. sorry not a better answer but this is really common with the budget ones

oh wait does it have gps mode? like is there a button for it on the remote? my cheap one had two modes and one was way more stable than the other, took me forever to figure that out because the manual was terrible. might be worth checking if youre accidentally flying in attitude mode or whatever they call it
