so ive been flying my avata 2 for about 8 months now and i still cant figure out a good rule for when to just pack it up and go home vs pushing through the wind. yesterday was maybe 18-20mph gusts and i kept going anyway and honestly the footage was garbage and i was fighting the sticks the whole time. not dangerous just... bad.
i know theres no universal answer but how do other people decide. like is it purely vibes or do you actually check wind layers at altitude before going out. i use windy app but even that feels like a guess half the time when youre flying in a valley or near buildings where the turbulence is totally unpredictable.
also separate but related ? does anyone actually practice flying in wind on purpose to get better at it or do most people just avoid it. feels like id learn a lot if i stopped babying my sessions
