what case are you guys using for longer trips, mine keeps rattling around

so ive been traveling with my Air 3 for about 6 months now and the soft case that came with it is honestly kind of a joke for anything more than tossing it in a backpack for a day hike. took it on a flight last month and just carried it on but i was stressed the whole time even with it wrapped in clothes inside my bag

been looking at the Nanuk 925 and also the Pelican 1510 but im not sure which one actually fits the Air 3 with the fly more combo stuff. also does anyone travel with their ND filters in the same case or do you keep those separate? mine are just floating around in a little zipper pouch right now which is probably not ideal

not looking to spend a fortune but willing to pay for something that actually protects the thing properly, learned that lesson the hard way last year with a different setup

the Nanuk 925 is what I ended up with for my Mini 4 Pro and honestly it's been great. fits the drone, two batteries, controller and a bunch of other small stuff with room to spare if you cut the foam right. the latches feel bomber compared to some of the cheaper options i tried first. i did have to buy a separate small case for my filters though, one of those little flip-open lens filter cases, works fine and just sits in the corner of the main case

the Pelican is also good but i found the 1510 a bit bulkier than i wanted for carry-on, depends how strict your airline is about bag dimensions. Nanuk has felt slightly more compact to me but they're pretty similar honestly

omg i had the same problem lol, was using a random camera bag and every time i moved the drone would just slide into the batteries. i just got one of those generic hardshell cases off amazon for like $45 and cut the foam myself, took maybe an hour with an electric knife and it fits everything perfectly now. probably not as bombproof as the brand name ones but for domestic travel its been totally fine so far
