anyone going to the fly-in at Eastbrook park this weekend?

saw a flyer posted on the club facebook page about a casual fly-in at eastbrook park saturday morning, looks like its just an informal thing, bring whatever you want to fly. i've never been to one of these group things before and honestly dont know what to expect. do people just... fly around near each other? is there like a schedule or is it totally freeform? last thing i want is to show up with my mini 3 and feel like a complete idiot standing around not knowing anyone

these are usually super relaxed, at least the ones ive been to. nobody cares what you fly, i showed up to my first one with a beat up mavic air and everyone was just stoked to talk shop. theres no real schedule, people kind of drift in, set up a chair, fly for a bit, chat for a bit. just talk to whoever looks approachable and ask about their setup, that's literally all you need to do. mini 3 is a fine bird, dont stress it

i went to one last summer and it was honestly kind of overwhelming at first because theres just a lot going on at once but after like 20 minutes i was fine. bring snacks thats my only actual advice lol, somehow these things always run longer than you think
