this has been bugging me for a few weeks now and im not sure what to try next. flying my mavic (the regular one, not pro) and im getting these random disconnects from the controller even when im maybe 200 feet away and have clear line of sight. it reconnects pretty quick usually but its making me nervous especially when im over water.

i updated the firmware a while back, think thats when it started but im not 100% sure on that. tried recalibrating the compass, didnt seem to help. signal interference maybe? im usually flying at a park near my house and i never had issues there before. the controller batteries are fine, checked that already. kinda at a loss here

first thing id check is whether there's been any new construction or equipment near that park, cell towers, wifi routers in a new building, even someones fancy new router broadcasting on 5.8ghz can mess with things depending on what controller you have. also worth checking the antenna orientation on your controller ? people forget that and it makes a bigger difference than you'd think. the antennas should be perpendicular to the drone not pointing at it.

also if you havent already try doing a full refresh on the RC link in the DJI app, sometimes after a firmware update the pairing gets a little flaky and just relinking it sorts it out. have you tried flying somewhere totally different to see if the problem follows you or stays at the park?

had something simmilar after a firmware update, turned out one of my controller antennas had a tiny crack in it i hadnt noticed. wasnt obvious at all but it was causing intermittent drops. might be worth looking closely at the physical condition of everything especially if the controller has been banged around at all
