finally picked up an EVO Nano+ and honestly not sure what i was expecting

so i've been flying a mini 2 for about a year and a half and decided to try something different. picked up the EVO Nano+ a few weeks ago mostly because i was curious about the rugged color profile and the fact that it doesnt need to be registered in a bunch of countries the same way. also the obstacle avoidance on something that small genuinely surprised me.

first impressions ? the app (Autel Sky) is... fine. it works but it definitely feels less polished than DJI Fly if im being honest. took me a bit to find where all the settings were buried. the image quality though is really good for the size, the 50mp sensor is doing some heavy lifting and the colors out of the RLOG-D profile are really nice to grade.

only real complaint so far is the wind resistance feels a little weaker than the mini 2, like in anything above 15mph it starts getting squirrely. anyone else notice that or is it just my unit? also curious what accessories people are actually using with this thing, ND filters especially ? not sure which brand to trust for these

yeah the wind thing is real, its basically the tradeoff for being so light. i had the same issue when i moved from a heavier bird to something in that class. i just don't push it past about 12-13mph honestly, if its gusty i leave it grounded. better safe than a tree ornament.

for NDs i've been using the Freewell ones and they fit fine, no vignetting at wide angle which was my worry. they have a specific set for the Nano+ so make sure you get the right version, theres like 3 different kits and it gets confusing on their site.

omg i just got the regular EVO Nano (not plus) last month and i had the same exact feeling about the app lol. i spent like 20 minutes looking for the histogram and it was just... hidden in a weird submenu. but the camera is genuinely so good for the price i got over it pretty quickly. havent tried any ND filters yet, just been shooting auto mostly which i know i shouldnt be doing but its a lot to learn all at once
