so i was out at this park the other day doing some practice flying, nothing serious just working on my manual mode stuff, and this older guy comes up to me and was like hey i seen you here before, you're the drone guy. and i genuinely didnt know how to respond lol. made me realize ive apparently been going to the same spot so often that random strangers know me as the drone person now. i cant decide if thats cool or slightly embaressing. anyway just curious if anyone else has had weird little moments like that when you're out flying

lol yes. the lady who walks her dogs every morning at my usual spot waves at me now. she used to give me suspicious looks for months and then one day she just started waving. we've never actually spoken

theres a group of kids near where i fly that literally run over every single time they hear the motors spin up. its cute but also kind of stressful trying to maintain situational awareness while like five 10 year olds are asking me questions. i dont mind it most of the time though, honestly some of them ask pretty smart questions about how the GPS works and stuff
