so ive been flying for about 8 months now and honestly most of my early stuff was garbage, shaky horizon, wrong exposure, you name it. but last weekend i drove out to this reservoir about 40 mins from my house and the light was just insane. got like 20 minutes of golden hour footage before the battery died on me.

been editing in resolve and tried to keep the grade pretty natural, didnt go crazy with the saturation or anything. posted it on youtube if anyone wants to take a look, link in my profile. would genuinely love some feedback because im trying to figure out if my movement speed is still too fast on the orbit shots. feels rushed to me but maybe thats just because i know how it was filmed

orbit speed is something i struggled with for ages. rule of thumb i use is if it feels slow while youre flying it, its probably about right on the screen. people always fly those way too fast. hard to say without seeing it but yeah probably slow it down a notch and see how it feels

reservoir shots are always so good, water just makes everything look better. i had a similar thing happen with my first decent footage, kept thinking something was off with the edit but it was just me being too critical of my own work. def post the link im curious to see it
