keep losing time in the chicane section, not sure if its my lines or my throttle management

been racing for about two seasons now and ive hit kind of a wall with my lap times. everything feels decent on the longer sweeping sections but every time i come through the chicane on our local track i either scrub way too much speed braking into it or i exit sloppy and lose like half a second recovering. watched some of my DVR back and i can see im not carrying the apex right but fixing it in practice is a different story.
running a 5 inch on 45 degree deadband, rates are fairly aggressive, like 850 on pitch and roll with 0.65 expo. not sure if its a rates issue or just muscle memory that needs more time. my throttle graph looks like a mess through that section compared to the smoother parts of the track. anyone been through this and figured out what actually helped beyond just flying more
