so ive had my mini 4 pro for about 3 months now and mostly fly outdoors without any issues but i tried flying it inside my living room just to mess around and it just... drifts. like i let go of the sticks completely and it slowly moves toward the window or sometimes toward the couch. GPS is obviously not great indoors i know that but i thought the downward vision sensors would handle hovering in place. is this normal or is something wrong with my unit. also the ceiling is maybe 10 feet high if that matters. dont want to crash it into my tv lol

yeah this is pretty normal for indoors honestly. the downward vision sensors need decent lighting and a textured surface to lock on properly, if you've got a plain light colored floor or a rug with a repetitive pattern they can struggle. also indoors there's usually air currents from vents and stuff that the drone reacts to. i'd try flying with all the lights on and over a dark patterned rug if you can, makes a noticeable difference. the drift probably isn't a defect, it's just the sensors not getting enough reference data to hold position confidently.

obstacle avoidance and position hold are kind of separate things just fyi. the avoidance sensors stop it from hitting stuff but they dont really help it hover in one spot. indoors i always bump up to sport mode weirdly enough because at least then i feel like im in control of where its going instead of it doing its own thing. probably not the real fix but it helped me stop panicking when it drifted
