so ive been flying for like 6 months now and i keep seeing these amazing cinematic shots on youtube but when i try to recreate them my stuff just looks... flat? i mean the colors are ok and its not shaky but it doesnt have that pop you know what i mean. maybe its just me being too critical but wondering if anyone else feels this way about their own footage

dude i totally get this. took me forever to realize most of those youtube guys are doing serious color grading in post. also they probably have way better cameras than whatever your flying. what drone you using? the lighting makes a huge difference too, golden hour vs midday sun is night and day

yeah this is normal lol. those youtube channels have like $5k setups and spend hours editing each shot. dont feel bad about it, just keep practicing and maybe watch some tutorials on color correction. davinci resolve is free if you want to try some basic grading
