flying in iceland next month - any tips?

so im heading to iceland in a few weeks and bringing my mini 3 pro. heard the weather can be pretty crazy there and im wondering if anyone has flown there before? like are there specific rules or areas i should avoid

also worried about the wind since ive heard its pretty intense there. my drone handles wind ok but iceland seems next level

    dude iceland is amazing for drone footage but yeah the wind is no joke. i was there last summer and there were days i couldnt get the drone up at all. bring extra batteries cause the cold drains them

also make sure you register with the icelandic aviation authority before you go, its pretty straightforward online but takes a few days

oh and dont fly near puffin colonies if you're there during breeding season, they take that stuff seriously
