weird gimbal thing happening on my mavic air 2

  • Members

ok this is driving me crazy... my air 2 has been fine for months but now when i power it on the gimbal does this weird twitch thing and then just hangs at like a 15 degree angle to the right. ive tried calibrating it through the app multiple times and it goes through the process fine but then as soon as i try to fly the camera is still crooked. anyone had this happen before? really hoping its not a hardware issue because im way out of warranty at this point

that happened to me once and it was actually just some dirt or something stuck in the gimbal mechanism. try gently cleaning around all the gimbal joints with a soft brush or compressed air. also make sure the gimbal clamp was removed if you had it on for transport

ugh i had the exact same thing happen and it ended up being a ribbon cable issue inside the gimbal. started intermittent like yours then got worse. if cleaning doesnt work you might need to send it in for repair or look into third party repair shops. mine cost like $180 to fix but was worth it since everything else worked fine
