weird gimbal issue with my evo 2 pro anyone else had this

  • Members

been having this strange problem where the gimbal starts twitching randomly during flight. not all the time but maybe once every 3-4 flights it'll just start doing this little jerky movement back and forth for like 10-15 seconds then stop

happens at different altitudes and wind conditions so dont think its environmental. gimbal calibration shows everything normal and footage actually looks fine when i check it later which is the weird part

anyone experienced something similar? starting to worry something is going bad internally but the drone is only like 8 months old

had exact same issue with mine about 6 months ago. turned out to be a loose cable connection inside the gimbal housing. took it to a repair shop and they fixed it pretty quick but wasnt cheap

if its still under warranty definitely contact autel first before paying out of pocket like i did. apparently its a known issue with some of the earlier batches

check your sd card actually. i know it sounds unrelated but corrupted files can sometimes cause weird gimbal behavior while the drone is trying to write data. try a different card and see if the twitching still happens

also make sure youre not running too many processes in the sky app at once. sometimes the tablet/phone can lag and send conflicting signals to the gimbal
