so ive been running my 5 inch build at the local track and everything feels good on straights and wide turns but whenever i hit those tight hairpins at speed the quad just washes out wide like it loses all grip. im running 2207 motors with 5040 triblade props, 4s 1300mah packs. rates are pretty aggressive, super rate around 800 on pitch and roll. anyone else dealt with this? thinking maybe its a tune issue but not sure where to start

sounds like your tune is too loose for racing honestly. what FC you running? if its betaflight id bump up your P gains on pitch and roll by like 10-15 points each and see how that feels. also try dropping your super rates down to like 650-700, high rates can make it harder to be precise in tight stuff

yeah this happened to me too when i first started racing. besides tune like the other guy said, check your prop balance and make sure your motors are tight. loose motor screws will make the quad feel super sloppy in fast turns. also what weight is your quad? anything over 650g is gonna wash out more in tight turns no matter how good your tune is
