so ive been flying for about 2 years now and keep getting people asking if i do real estate photos or inspections and stuff. finally decided to look into it seriously but holy crap the insurance quotes im getting are like $3000-5000 a year just to start. is this normal or am i doing something wrong? also do i really need an LLC or can i just get a business license and call it good

been looking at part 107 study guides too but thats the easy part compared to all this business setup stuff

yeah insurance is rough at first. mine was around 4k the first year but dropped to like 2800 after i had some history. definitely get the LLC though, even if its just for liability protection. saved my butt when a client tried to claim i damaged their roof last year (i didnt but they were looking for someone to blame)

what kind of work are you thinking about focusing on? real estate is saturated in most areas but inspections can be decent money
