is it normal for my first drone to feel impossible to control

got my first drone yesterday (mini 2) and honestly feeling pretty discouraged. i can barely keep it in one spot without it drifting all over the place and when i try to move it forward it goes way too fast or jerky. watched some youtube videos but they make it look so easy. am i just terrible at this or does everyone struggle at first? how long did it take you guys to not crash into stuff constantly

oh man i remember those days... took me like 2-3 weeks before i stopped white knuckling the controller every flight. the mini 2 is actually pretty stable once you get used to it but yeah the learning curve is real. try flying in beginner mode if you havent already and find a big open field. also dont feel bad about using the simulator apps, they actually help more than you'd think

dude same here! i got mine like a month ago and still feel sketchy sometimes. what really helped me was practicing just hovering in place for like 10-15 minutes at a time before trying to actually fly anywhere. boring as hell but it builds muscle memory. also make sure your not in sport mode by accident cause that thing will take off like a rocket
