so ive been running a t30 for about 8 months now doing ndvi mapping for a few local farms and its been solid but starting to think about upgrading to the t40. the extra flight time would be nice since im covering some pretty big sections but not sure if the price jump is justified. anyone made this switch recently? main thing im wondering about is if the improved camera setup actually makes a difference for crop health analysis or if its just marketing fluff

currently getting decent results with the t30 but always takes multiple batteries to cover what i need and clients are asking for faster turnaround times

made that exact upgrade last spring and honestly its night and day difference for larger operations. flight time alone saves me probably 45 minutes per job when you factor in all the battery swaps and repositioning. camera wise the multispectral improvements are real - way better at catching early disease spots that the t30 would miss. if youre doing this professionally and have steady clients i'd say go for it

dont have experience with either but curious what software you guys are using for the ndvi processing? been thinking about getting into ag mapping myself and trying to figure out the whole workflow
