Mini 3 gimbal acting weird after crash

  • Members

so i had a little mishap yesterday with my mini 3 and now the gimbal seems off. its not totally broken but when i start it up it does this weird shaking thing for like 10 seconds then settles down. video looks mostly ok but im worried its gonna get worse. anyone else deal with this kind of thing after a crash? should i be concerned or is this just normal gimbal recalibration stuff

yeah ive seen this before on my mini 2 after i clipped a tree branch. the gimbal motor might be slightly knocked out of alignment. try doing a manual gimbal calibration in the dji fly app settings first - that fixed mine about 80%. if it keeps doing the shaking thing on startup you might need to send it in but honestly if the footage looks good id just keep flying it

How bad was the crash? I dropped my mini 3 from like 3 feet onto grass and the gimbal was fine but if you hit something hard or the drone was moving fast when it crashed there could be internal damage. The shaking during startup is definitely not normal though, mine never does that
