took the quad out to this spot i've been scoping for weeks, nice open area with some trees at the edge and a concrete wall that would be perfect for a little proximity stuff. had this whole line planned out in my head, power loop over the big oak, banking left into a dive toward the wall, maybe a little split S to come back around.

got like 4 seconds into the line and completely bottled the power loop exit, came out sideways and just fed it directly into a branch. broke two props and bent an arm a little. the worst part is i could see it happening and just froze on the sticks instead of just punching out and saving it. classic.

anyway the arm is fine after i pushed it back, flew the rest of the pack without issues so thats something i guess

lmaooo been there so many times. that freeze response on the sticks is so real, your brain knows what to do but your hands just stop. only thing that fixed it for me was doing bailout drills in a simulator until punching out became automatic. sounds boring but it works

the fact that the arm survived a tree hit is actually impressive, what frame is that? also power loop exits are genuinely one of the harder things to get consistent, everyone acts like theyre easy but exit angle and throttle timing is super specific. dont be too hard on yourself, took me probably 200 attempts before mine felt clean
