DJI dropping another mini series drone apparently, thoughts?

saw some leaked specs floating around on reddit and a couple of youtube channels have been teasing what looks like another entry in the mini lineup from DJI. cant find anything official yet but the rumor is its going to have some upgraded obstacle avoidance over the mini 4 pro which honestly if true would be a pretty big deal for that weight class

i currently fly the mini 3 pro and genuinely love it but ive been tempted to upgrade for a while. my main gripe is losing the drone in certain lighting when its far out, wondering if the new one might address any of that or if its just going to be marginal improvements. also curious whether itll stay under 250g because thats kind of the whole point of that series right

honestly at this point i feel like DJI releases something new every 8 months and half the improvements are things that shouldnt have been missing in the first place. the mini 3 to mini 4 jump was fine but not exactly mind blowing. if the new one actually has meaningful obstacle avoidance for the weight class then yeah thats genuinely interesting but i'll believe it when i see real footage

also worth noting ? every time a new mini comes out the previous gen drops in price pretty fast. so if you're on a mini 3 pro maybe just wait and grab a mini 4 pro for cheap when this new one launches, depending on what you actually need

the losing it in bright sky thing is a real issue, i have the same problem with mine. i added one of those LED strobe lights to the body and it helped a bit but its kind of a janky solution. hopefully the new one has better visual contrast or something on the body design. fingers crossed they dont bloat the price too much either, the mini 4 pro already pushed up near where you could just get an Air series drone
