so ive been flying for maybe 3 weeks and overall its going ok but theres this thing thats been bugging me. when i hover and let go of the sticks it doesnt just stay perfectly still, it kind of drifts a little bit, sometimes toward one side sometimes back and forth. its not like flying away on its own but its noticeable. i calibrated the compass before my first flight because i read you should do that.

not sure if its a settings thing or a defect or just how drones work. the wind wasnt that bad when i noticed it, maybe a little breezy. using sport mode actually, could that be it

sport mode turns off a lot of the position hold stuff, thats almost definitely your issue. in normal or cine mode the GPS and vision positioning systems are actively working to keep it in place. sport mode basically says hey i know what im doing, hold my beer, and gives you more manual control which means more drift if theres any wind or sensor variance. switch back to normal mode and see if it still does it

also worth checking if youre flying somewhere with GPS interference, near buildings or under tree cover can mess with the positioning hold. ive had mine drift weirdly near a big metal structure once and it was just the GPS getting confused, flew it out to an open area and it was fine. but yeah definitely try normal mode first like the other person said, sport mode isnt really meant for hovering in place
