so ive been using litchi for like 2 years now for all my waypoint stuff, mostly real estate and some inspection work, and it does the job but im starting to get annoyed with how clunky the mission hub is on desktop. the waypoint editing is fine but every time i want to tweak a POI mid-mission setup i feel like im fighting the interface.

someone in another thread mentioned dronelink and i checked it out briefly but couldnt really tell if its actually better or just different. the pricing model also confused me, like is it a sub or one time. anyway curious if anyone here has run both for actual paid work not just messing around in a field. specifically interested in how they handle curved paths and whether the camera angle control is any more intuitive.

dronelink guy here, switched from litchi about 8 months ago and honestly dont miss it. the interface is weird at first but once you get the component system its way more flexible. curved paths arent really a thing the same way, you're basically doing it with multiple waypoints and adjusting speeds but the gimbal control per waypoint is genuinely better imo. you can set a specific pitch and yaw at each point which litchi kind of lets you do but dronelink is more explicit about it.

its subscription yeah, think its like $10/month or you can do annual. for paid work its a no brainer honestly. the CSV import for large missions alone saved me probably hours on a cell tower job i did last spring.

i tried dronelink once and gave up after like 20 minutes, maybe i didnt give it enough time. litchi just made more sense to me right away. though i only do recreational stuff so probably not the best comparison for your use case
