so ive been using the little shoulder bag that came with the fly more combo since i got my mini 4 pro back in the spring and honestly its fine for like throwing in the car but every time i travel with it im kind of nervous because theres not really much protection going on. the zipper feels cheap and the foam insert doesnt really hold anything in place if you shake it around.

i looked at a few hard cases on amazon but the reviews are all over the place and half of them seem like theyre just the same chinese factory case with 20 different brand names slapped on. does anyone have something they actually trust? mainly for checked luggage or hiking, dont need anything too fancy just something that wont have me holding my breath every time i grab it from the overhead bin.

i went through like three different cases before landing on the Lowepro DroneGuard CS 400 and honestly its been solid. its not a hard case but the padding is really substantial and it fits the drone, three batteries, the rc-n1 controller, and i still have room for my nd filter set. took it on a few flights to Iceland last year in checked luggage and everything came through fine. the only downside is it looks like a camera bag so some people might give you side eye at security but ive never had an issue.

if you really want hard shell i know some people swear by the Pelican 1510 with custom foam cutouts but that feels like overkill unless youre a pro shooter or something, and its heavier than the actual drone setup which is a bit silly.

i just use a small waterproof backpack i already had and cut some foam myself lol. works great and cost me like nothing. might not be the answer you want but honestly the cases marketed specifically for drones tend to be overpriced for what they are imo
