been going back and forth on this for probably two weeks now and i think im just paralyzed by choice at this point. looking at the Geprc Mark5 and the iFlight Nazgul Evoque and on paper they're pretty close in price. i fly mostly freestyle, some light cruising, not really racing. running a DJI O3 setup so the vtx situation is already handled.

the thing that bugs me about iFlight is i've heard mixed stuff about their QC ? like some people get a perfect unit and some people get one with a dodgy ESC right out of the box. Geprc seems more consistent from what I can tell but maybe I'm reading old threads. anyone have recent experience with either of these? or honestly if you think I should be looking at something else entirely at this price point just say so, im not married to either brand

the QC thing with iFlight was more of an issue like 2-3 years ago imo. i've got a Nazgul5 V2 that's been solid for a while now, replaced motors once after a bad crash but that's on me not the build quality. that said the Geprc stuff does feel a little more refined out of the box, like the wire routing and frame tolerances are just slightly better. for freestyle specifically i actually think the Geprc frame geometry suits it a little better but that's pretty subjective

either way you're not making a bad choice. both will fly great with O3. if the price is the same just go with whichever one has better stock availability right now because waiting 3 weeks for shipping is genuinely the worst part of this hobby

you are 100% overthinking this. both fly fine. just pick one and go rip. the amount of time people spend agonizing over prebuilt comparisons in this price range is kind of wild when the real variable is gonna be your tune anyway. slap betaflight on it, spend an afternoon on the filters and rates, and it'll feel completely different from stock regardless of which brand you went with. the frame and components are close enough that it won't matter after the first few sessions
