so ive been flying my avata 2 for about 8 months now and wind is still my biggest weak point honestly. like i know the specs say it can handle wind up to whatever but thats not really the full story is it. yesterday i was out at the beach and the gusts were coming in at maybe 20-25mph with some irregular stuff on top of that and i kept second guessing myself the whole time.
the thing that gets me is its not even the steady wind that's hard to deal with, i can fly in steady 20mph no problem once i get used to compensating. its the gusts that come from weird angles that make me nervous, especially when im in manual mode. had a moment yesterday where a gust just kind of pushed the whole thing sideways faster than i expected and my heart rate definitely jumped.
do you guys have like a personal threshold or some kind of rule you use? or do you just go out and feel it out every time? curious if anyone has a system for this or if its just experience.
