okay so ive been flying a relatively budget setup for about a year, using a mini 2 which runs ocusync 2.0 and honestly it's been pretty solid. but ive been looking at some of the newer wifi-based systems on mid range drones and reading really conflicting stuff. some people swear the newer enhanced wifi implementations are basically just as good now, others say as soon as you get around any kind of interference source its a disaster waiting to happen.
my use case is mostly urban and suburban stuff, not like downtown manhattan but definitely areas with a lot of wifi and bluetooth noise. i actually had a pretty sketchy moment last month where i was filming near a big outdoor event and the link got super choppy ? recovered fine but it rattled me a bit. im not sure if that was just bad luck or if it would've been worse on a wifi based system. would love to hear from people who have actually used both in those conditions rather than just spec sheet comparisons
